The main advantage of PSR application is its simplicity. You just tell yourself what a physical or mental response you need saying that aloud or just thinking of that clearly; and, after applying the simple procedure, which is counting from one to seven, you get the desirable response.

For example, if you do only 20 push-ups, you may increase this number just telling yourself 'I will do 23 push-ups'. You start counting from one to seven imagining the number "23" to enhance your self-suggestion. After finishing the count, start doing the push-ups. You will see how easy you achieve your goal. Or, you are telling yourself 'I will fall asleep in seven seconds'. Start counting slowly ... and have nice dreams.

In numerous books on self-help mental techniques, you may find 'tips' how to create self-suggestions. Usually, they advise avoiding the future tense, negative words, 'no' or 'not', and so on. You may disregard these advices applying PSR. Just use one short phrase. Let's say, you want to remove soreness from your biceps. You may tell yourself focusing on your biceps 'No soreness on the count of seven' or 'The soreness in my biceps will be gone on the count of seven'

You should avoid unrealistic goals, especially at the very beginning of PSR application. If you goal is 50 push-ups, and you do barely 20, you will do just few more push-ups, but not 50. Unrealistic goals reduce the effectiveness of the technique.

You will not need to count to seven for the rest of your life to benefit from PSR. After short time of PSR application, you will notice that the simple awareness you are applying the technique elicits a desirable response immediately. Moreover, you can realize the PSR zone state even without counting. For example, you are a quarterback on your football team. You will realize the zone state every time when you touch the ball during the game to perform on your best; and you will be out of the state when you release the ball from your hands. 

Three ways of PSR application

1.   You have one goal you would like to achieve with PSR. Let's say, nervousness before competition is the problem you want to cope with. In this case, I will train how to overcome the nervousness including a unique approach how to get the full control over the problem. (Usually, it takes just one-two sessions to overcome the problem with high scores on PSR tests.) If you want to insure yourself against possible failure in the future, I may create a special CD or sound file for downloading. However, it is not mandatory condition of PSR training.

2.   You have goals that require more time to achieve. Let's say, you want to get more muscles and become taller. It is impossible to achieve that overnight. In this case, I will train you how to apply PSR on your own for every goal separately. In addition, I may create a special CD or sound file for downloading you will listen to for a while to enhance and accelerate the desirable changes . 

What if you want to be trained in PSR first, and then to apply the technique for whatever you want? This approach does not work in PSR training. You should have at least few goals to work on with me. Moreover, these goals should be important for you. After achieving the goals and having stable results, you may start experimenting on your own.  

3.  You want to master PSR zone state. Let's say, you want to use the state for your sports. In this case, I will train you how and when to enter the state on your own. We will create together a new sports 'ego' that enables you to perform on your highest level; we will work on the most important skills that make you unbeatable in your sport. (The help of your coach and strength coach would be greatly appreciated.) This way of PSR application is not complicated, but it takes more time. You do not need any CD or sound file to maintain it.  It will stay with you forever.
