To perform this and next two tests, you will need a pendulum - any weight tied to a 10-12" long thread or light chain. The weight could be a ring, a mailbox key, or other small object. To test the pendulum, swing it back and forth or from left to right moving your hand in the appropriate direction in a half of an inch. If sways are wider, then the a half of an inch, you are ready to start the tests. If not, try to use a heavier or lighter weight.

In this test, the pendulum will move back and forth without moving your hand or arm.

I will count from 1 to 7. On the count of 7, the pendulum will start moving back and forth. If pendulum sways achieve at least 5 inches before the count of 7, you may stop the test giving yourself maximum points.

Click 'Play' button in the player below to start the test:

Evaluate your results and write down your points:

  • 7 points - the length of pendulum sways was about 5" before the count of 7;
  • 5 points - the length of pendulum sways was about 5" on the count of 7;
  • 2 points - the pendulum moved just slightly;
  • 0 points - the pendulum did not move at all.
